      Would love to understand if people look at People costs as % sales? And what are good targets. I have heard 10%, 12%. WE are without retail estate, but do have warehouses and call centres. Many thanks

        Hi Karen

        We have been measuring this for a while now as part of our HR dashboard and it was difficult to find a reliable benchmark measure when we started measuring as it varies so much by sector.  We are an SME  service organisation (both B2B andB2C) with no retail but some hospitality and we aim to keep under 30%.  Some retail operations work at 10-12% but the care sector can work at up to 60% so it’s important to consider your business.
