      Hi everyone

Is anyone doing any welcome back to the office gifts? And if yes, what are the gifts? Looking for a little inspiration!

      Thanks
      Kate

        Hi Kate

When we opened up the office again last month we put breakfast on for a few days to encourage people to see each again in our central ‘social’ space. It gave them a reason to come in – free food works every time!! – as well as encouraging the conversations and just meeting new and long-standing colleagues again. We did this for a couple of weeks and was very well received.

        Hope that helps

        Helen

Hi, my organisation hasn’t, but my husband works for Vitality and they gave each employee: hand sanitiser, a water bottle, mug, desk wipes, a mouse mat and also a Champney’s hand wash and hand lotion.

              Hi Kate,

We have had people back in different roles since April last year but have done a variety of gifts throughout the year

we started with chocolate bars with personalised messages on the back of them, we then moved to a tote bag with sanitiser, a named Chillys type waterbottle, keyrings for opening doors safely ( its amazing what COVID derived gifts you can find) and a grow your own plant for your desk.  Those went really well.

We also then did Chocolate bars again with personal messages from the MD on them (whilst we only have 60 members of staff, that took a while but was so appreciated)

And in winter we did a well being programme where they could sign up to having a Calm subscription, a Art Box subscription or a Amazon Prime subscription to help through the winter months

I guess we have tried to be thoughtful as we have done gifts rather than splash our cash on stuff they wont use or appreciate, and that also appeals to our remote workers and on the road workers.

feedback has been great – often its the littlest touches that meant the most – the choc bar with the personal message from the boss about their contribution at the hardest of times landed the best

              hope that helps

              Rachel

I think people will very quickly see through a gift if it’s to tempt them back to the office (unless of course, it’s purely about making the office feel safe) so ideally, gifts should be more of a ‘we love you wherever you are’ so that they feel appreciated whether they come into the office or not.  How would that work?
