We are currently reviewing all of our family leave policies and processes, and one of our key focus areas is to ensure inclusivity as part of our ED&I agenda. We’re keen to ensure that everyone can recognise their family circumstances within our documents.
However, our knowledge on surrogacy is limited and we’d like to make sure that we include appropriate information and guidance for those who might be starting a family using a surrogate. We will engage with our LGBT employee network on this but wanted to understand what other companies do.
Not sure whether we need some specific information on surrogacy or whether we incorporate into our adoption documents. What do others do?
Does anybody have anything that they can share with me please?
We don’t separate our parent leaves into maternity, paternity, adoption, fostering or surrogacy. We just have one type of parent leave which covers all of them.
