We are looking to move to a hub, home, roam approach where our employees can work in the office/hub spaces or remotely (i.e. from home). We are looking at different allowances that others are offering, e.g. broadband allowances and utilities allowances(i.e. heating and gas). Can anyone share what benefits/allowances they are offering to those working from home?
Thank you in advance
Hi we are currently implementing the same approach but we have said we aren’t planning to pay any allowances – we do however offer a one off contribution towards a desk, chair and any other kind of ‘equipment’
We provided a one-off amount to assist employees to fund their home office. This was limited to home equipment – monitors, chairs, etc. As a principle our company will not fund home mortgages, rent, meals,
beverages, household supplies, home internet or utility costs for home-based
employees. The exception to this will be where local legislation requires some home office costs to be met by the employer. This is the case in some countries in Latin America.
