Hi Kate, we’d recommend not giving them a template (as having a doc with ‘PIP’ might damage the relationship), but using our top tips and conversation starters for ‘Difficult conversations‘ from the Box of Conversations. There’s also a resource on the club to help prepare your leaders to have these conversations. We’d suggest keeping it informal, like you’ve mentioned and get the manager to focus on what improvements/expectations they want (agreed together), what support they can give them and when they’re going to follow up (all in an email).
