Trying to think outside the box a bit in this area. I want to roll out 1 process that covers it all as I hate to think some employees are on PIP’s and others are on PDP’s.

Any ideas, help or guidance on new ideas rather than following the traditional way?

Hi Christine,  can you give me a bit more info on what each is for and we can give you some ideas?  Are PDP’s for everyone and PIP’s for poor performers?

          Hi Christina

We have removed PIPs as we felt the term sounded punitive. Instead we have introduced Individual Support Plans To be fair I think we could probably have a different name but just changing it from PIPs was a step too far for some!

We don’t have a performance improvement policy either, we don’t have any policies so we have a Individual Support Principle which is framed as supporting the individual to get back on track. This is coupled with our Objectives and Key Results, as we don’t have performance management any more either. Hope that helps

          Thanks

          Maggie
