      Hi all,

I am currently working on putting together some practical guidelines of how the organization can support employee networks. Is anyone able to share any information? I would also be keen to know if any organizations set aside a budget for the network?

      Thanks

Have done a bit of work on this if you want to chat. We have put together a global budget for D&I and networks are part of that annually. We had a consultant come in and work with us and our networks to figure out their real purposes and how they can interaction in an intersectional way. We also wrote terms of reference and decided on how membership would work. They were also able to articulate what they needed from us and we had a group sessions to bring it all together.

Hi Ali, thanks for your response.

That would be great, what would be the best contact method for you?

Hi Shrina, we have a number of employee networks so I’d be happy to have a three-way call if it suits Ali?

You can contact me at Jennifer.McClellan@atkinsglobal.com

              Hi Shrina

At Westminster City Council we don’t have specific Terms of Reference for staff network as they are pretty self managed, but they do get a £8K annual budget to organise events, support staff etc. We now have 6 successful networks with whom we engage regularly and that helps us with practical things like drafting/reviewing policies, spread key comms and changes, run events and engagement session to raise awareness of specific topics and asks from the organisation etc.

Hope it helps but if you have more queries please feel free to ask or happy to join a call 🙂

              Best
