      Hello,

We’re currently reviewing our approach to job descriptions and I was curious as to whether anyone had a more agile and progressive approach than the traditional JD. We have a RACI framework that sits alongside our JDs bur it’s not particularly dynamic!

      Any recommendations or ideas welcome!

      Thanks,
      Hannah

                Hi Hannah

Removing our JDs is one of key results this year. My end in mind is having a brief overview of the role – no more than 5 lines! – any specialist or technical skills – no more than 5 bullets. That will be it. The accountabilities/responsibilities bit will be removed completely and this will be covered by the individual’s team Objectives and Key Results. This means we have more fluidity and stop the awful hamster wheel of people wanting updated JDs. It also means we can concentrate on the narrative and sell the job more to any prospective candidates.

                Not sure if that helps

                Thanks

                Maggie
