We are looking to more clearly define what it means to be a manager in our organisation, and embed this definition to ensure our managers have the capabilities our organisation needs.
Does your organisation have a formal definition for the role of managers and what is it? How have you embedded this definition into business processes? And what development support do you provide to your people to build their management capability, aligned with this definition?
Maybe instead of a formal definition, you could produce some simple and easy to remember ‘outcomes’ you’re looking for? The SAP example we love 1. Lead with trust, 2.
