      Hi,

      We are planning to hold a career development/learning month in September. We have received feedback through our employee survey that the different career paths/options/progression aren’t always clear. As a result we’re working on this as a wider issue to solve and one of the ideas is to hold a global career development/learning month (or week) in September.

      The idea would be to have internal and external speakers covering a wide variety of topics, various resources and workshops/virtual sessions.

      Has anyone ran anything similar and has some suggestions? At the moment we’re pulling together ideas so very open to any suggestions!

        We do quite a lot on careers, but something that always goes down well are lightning talks from internal speakers on how they got to where they are.

        These are 5 minute, fairly informal chats from some of our best people across different departments. Each speaker does their talk and we facilitate a Q&A at the end.

        The aim is to highlight that everyone’s career paths are different, there are a lot of options, a bit of networking in the business and to raise the profile of some of our best people. You could probably run this as a panel discussion if more appropriate.
